About The Client

Butler Companies is a new business located in Zionsville Indiana. They speciliaze in bringing one of a kind furniture pieces to life.

Challenge

The goal of this project was to create a strong and recognizable brand identity system.

Solution

The process began with conducting research and then crafting a brand strategy. From that, we created a new vintage logo that is both distinctive and memorable. We also created a rich color palette and picked out the perfect brand font combinations that were ultimately used to develop marketing and print materials.

The Idea

By finding a unique combination of the letter “B” and the “Co.,” we created a clean mark that can work in multiple applications.

Sketching Process

Before we arrived at the final mark combination you see above; we sketched until we found the best possible mark combination.

Logotype Explorations

After digitizing the final mark symbol. We began to think about what wordmark compositions would work best with our symbol. We explored different typefaces, Rustic, elegant, and modern fonts, but the bold, timeless serif option was the strongest.
